First Grape Harvest

Personal

We had our first grape harvest! 6am start time in complete darkness to tackle 2 acres of vines in Boone, North Carolina before the rains from Hurricane Irma swept in. It was an incredible experience to see the first steps in creating wine. I wanted to stretch my video shooting/editing skills out. I love telling stories with photography and using videos is a way to diversify my skills. And I LOVE IT! This 60 second video is a preview of the high quality 3:30 minute full video. It can be found on my Vimeo link—–>  https://vimeo.com/233391067

The trail had plenty of parking and a very wide trail. We brought our dog and had him off l ...

Roadtrip
Facebook gave me a time-hop reminder from two years ago. It let me know I once lived in a van. For three months, I was able to travel around the U.S. in search of the best National Park (2016 Centennial)! It was incredible. Living in a van was also half the adventure. The full adventure was deciding to adopt a 9 week old puppy right before leaving. Crazy times. We succeeded in viewing 25 states starting in Montana and ending in New York. Basically a big horseshoe around the U.S. I would not trade that time for anything and on the coldest of day (like today) it is refreshing to look back on the images and videos and remember my greatest advent ...
