Harvest Moon

Personal Professional Travel

The Harvest Moon was going to peak over the mountains exactly as the sun began to set. Everyone on Craggy Pinnacle was photographing the beautiful sunset and only a select few of us knew of the moon coming up. It was going to be amazing. I chatted with a couple enjoying cheese and opening a bottle of wine. They played “Harvest Moon” by Neil Young just as a spark of red shown through the mountains. The moon popped out and was quiet the show.

Chimney Rock Elopement 02.17.18
Brooke & Spencer 02.17.18 This has been one of the best elopements to photograph. Chimney Rock State Park in the fog...need I say more. A photographers dream. The images are so soft and stunning! Listening to Brooke and Spencer say their vows was touching and an honor to witness. My favorite image looks as if we transported to Yosemite with Chimney Rock towering above Brooke & Spencer. Amazing! Also, our sneak peak of the cave before the ceremony. Not many people get a view inside and we got the best images!

First Grape Harvest
We had our first grape harvest! 6am start time in complete darkness to tackle 2 acres of vines in Boone, North Carolina before the rains from Hurricane Irma swept in. It was an incredible experience to see the first steps in creating wine. I wanted to stretch my video shooting/editing skills out. I love telling stories with photography and using videos is a way to diversify my skills. And I LOVE IT! This 60 second video is a preview of the high quality 3:30 minute full video. It can be found on my Vimeo link----->  https://vimeo.com/233391067
