Fall Foliage on the Parkway
What a day to see the Blue Ridge Parkway! The leaves are in prime form. It snowed just about 30 minutes after this picture was taken. Asheville went from a warm fall to a quick burst of winter. It was an amazing way to experience the seasons. This image has been on my mind every time I pass it on the parkway. The conditions were just right to capture the image I wanted.

Chasing Waterfalls
Asheville is honestly the adventure/nature hotspot I've been hearing about. Hiking trails are everywhere! So so so happy to say that I have the Blue Ridge Parkway a short 5 minute drive from my apartment. It makes me happy to slowly explore everything. Although, when all is said and done, it might take me 5 years to see it ALL. Today we started with a hike up Catawba Falls. A local told me it was a must on a hike and had some watering holes as well. Enough said. Drive on 1-40 out of Asheville past Black Mountain and you are there in a quick 30 minutes. Harvest Moon
The Harvest Moon was going to peak over the mountains exactly as the sun began to set. Everyone on Craggy Pinnacle was photographing the beautiful sunset and only a select few of us knew of the moon coming up. It was going to be amazing. I chatted with a couple enjoying cheese and opening a bottle of wine. They played "Harvest Moon" by Neil Young just as a spark of red shown through the mountains. The moon popped out and was quiet the show.
